  • Can I apply the consultation fee to a Women's Annual Wellness Membership?

    Yes,if you decide to join the Women's Annual Wellness membership within 30 days of your consultation, the $600 fee will be credited toward your annual membership fee. 

  • How do pay-as-you-go follow-up visits work?

    After your initial consultation, you have the option to schedule pay-as-you-go follow-up visits at $200 per 30 minute session. These visits are designed to:

    • Monitor your progress and address any concerns.
    • Adjust your treatment plan as necessary based on your response and any new lab results. 
    • Manage prescriptions and discuss any side effects or new symptoms. 

    Many patients find value in transitioning to the Women's Annual Wellness Membership for more comprehensive, ongoing support. 

  • Are lab evaluations included in the one-time consultation fee?

    Yes, the $600 one-time consultation fee includeds a comprehensive lab evaluation. This allows for a thorough assessment of your current health status and informs the development of your personalized treatment plan. These labs could cost over $1,000 if completed elsewhere.

    Lab Tests Typically Ordered as Part of Your Comprehensive Midlife Women’s Onboarding Assessment:


    Testosterone, Serum

    Purpose: This test checks your testosterone levels, which can influence energy, mood, and libido.


    Why It’s Useful: Hormone levels can fluctuate during midlife, and understanding your testosterone level helps tailor your hormone therapy and overall wellness plan.


    Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Antibodies

    Purpose: This test looks for antibodies that could indicate thyroid autoimmune conditions, like Hashimoto’s disease.


    Why It’s Useful: Thyroid health is crucial during midlife as imbalances can mimic or worsen menopausal symptoms.


    T4, Free

    Purpose: This measures the active form of thyroid hormone.


    Why It’s Useful: Ensuring your thyroid is functioning properly is key to managing symptoms like fatigue, weight changes, and mood swings.


    Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)

    Purpose: This test measures a protein that binds to hormones like testosterone and estrogen.


    Why It’s Useful: Knowing your SHBG level helps us understand how much of these hormones are available to your body.


    Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy Vitamin D)

    Purpose: This measures your vitamin D level, essential for bone health and immune function.


    Why It’s Useful: Many women in midlife are low in vitamin D, which can affect mood, bone strength, and overall health.


    Vitamin B12 with Reflex

    Purpose: This checks your B12 levels, which are important for nerve function and energy.

    Lipoprotein(a)

    Purpose: This test assesses your risk for cardiovascular disease.

    Apolipoprotein B

    Purpose: This test provides insight into your cholesterol levels.


    Why It’s Useful: It helps assess your risk for heart disease and is part of a comprehensive approach to managing your heart health.


    Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) + Lipid Panel + Complete Blood Count (CBC) + TSH + HbA1c

    Purpose: This panel covers various aspects of your health, including kidney and liver function, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and thyroid health.


    Why It’s Useful: It gives a broad overview of your overall health and is a foundation for tailoring your care plan.


    Ferritin, Serum

    Purpose: This measures your iron stores.


    Why It’s Useful: Iron levels can affect energy and cognitive function, and they’re often low in women with heavy periods or in perimenopause.


    Insulin

    Purpose: This tests your insulin levels, which can indicate how your body is managing blood sugar.


    Why It’s Useful: Monitoring insulin helps prevent or manage prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, conditions that can become more common in midlife.


    C-Reactive Protein, Cardiac

    Purpose: This measures inflammation in your body.


    Why It’s Useful: Inflammation can be a sign of cardiovascular risk, and managing it is key to long-term health.


    Homocysteine

    Purpose: This test checks for high levels of homocysteine, which can increase your risk for heart disease.


    Why It’s Useful: Managing homocysteine levels helps in reducing cardiovascular risk.


    T3 Reverse and T3 Free

    Purpose: These tests give a detailed picture of your thyroid function.


    Why It’s Useful: They help fine-tune your thyroid treatment to ensure you’re feeling your best.

    • 12 months access to Dr. Anna via a secure messaging app and email.
    • Prescription management for menopause hormone therapy for a 12 month period.
    • Discounts on additional lab work, aesthetic treatments, and supplements.
    • A 12-week integrative nutrition weight wellness coaching program.

    In contrast, pay-as-you-go visits are billed individually and may be more suitable for those seeking less frequent consultations. 

  • What types of Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT) do you prescribe?

    I prescribe FDA-approved hormone therapies tailored to your individual needs. These can be picked up at your local pharmacy of choice.

  • Will my insurance cover the cost of MHT prescriptions?

    Yes, insurance generally covers the cost of MHT prescriptions. While I do not bill insurance directly, I can provide a superbill for you to file with your insurance company.

  • How does the women's annual wellness package work?

    The annual wellness package is designed for patients who prefer more frequent access throughout the year. After the initial consultation, you will have unlimited acces to me via email/text. We will also schedule two follow-up visits to asses your treatment plan and make any adjustments necessary.  You will receive discounts on labwork. Prescriptions provided will cover the entire year. Additionally, we offer discounts on aesthic treatments and health and nutrition coaching. 

  • Can Dr. Anna be my primary care provider?

    While I am a primary care provider, I am not currently taking new patients. If you wish to join the waiting list, please email anna@wondercreekhealth.com

  • What age patients can enroll?

    Dr. Anna accepts patients between the ages of 14 and 64.  Currently unable to accept Medicare Eligible patients.
